• Account information: your email address and password (handled securely by Clerk).
• Tutor-entered data: class names, session schedules, student names and contact details, attendance records, payment records, and assignment files.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs to help us improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the BYSEdu platform. Specifically:

• To operate and maintain your BYSEdu account.
• To display your classes, students, attendance, and financial records.
• To send system notifications (such as overdue payment alerts).
• To diagnose technical issues and improve platform performance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or student data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) and file attachments are stored on AWS S3. Authentication is handled by Clerk, which uses industry-standard encryption. We apply access controls to ensure only you can access your account data.

4. Student Data

Student information entered into BYSEdu (names, contact details, attendance, fee records) is owned by you as the tutor. We process this data only on your behalf and never use it for any other purpose. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from students or their guardians to store their data in the platform.

5. Cookies

BYSEdu uses cookies for authentication session management only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
